A Dog Beach! 🏖️🐾
One of our favourite discoveries was the dedicated dog beach. Seeing dogs able to enjoy their own space, explore the surroundings and simply have fun made this a particularly special part of the trip.
For dogs who love exploring, sniffing and having a good run around, having somewhere specifically catered towards them makes a holiday so much more enjoyable.
We Missed Our Own Evie So Much ❤️🐶
As much as we loved seeing all the dogs enjoying themselves, we couldn't help missing our own Evie while we were away. She was very much in our thoughts throughout the holiday.
We know she was having a lovely time with Grandma though, and we're pretty sure she was being thoroughly spoilt! Sometimes leaving them at home is the kindest choice, even when you desperately want them to come along.
The temperatures were reaching around 30°C during our trip, and we knew Evie wouldn't have enjoyed spending around eight hours at a time in the car on such a long journey. The journey from Penkridge to Tuscany was also a very long one, with so many miles that we honestly lost count!
So although we missed her terribly, we knew she was safer and happier being looked after at home. And we're sure Grandma made the most of having her there and gave her plenty of cuddles and treats. ❤️
Dogs, Babies & Families All Enjoy the Dog Area 🐶👶❤️
Something else we absolutely loved was how naturally dogs fitted into the whole holiday atmosphere. Even babies and families were enjoying the dog-friendly areas, making it feel like a genuinely inclusive space rather than somewhere where dogs had to be kept separate from everyone else.
There was something really lovely about seeing dogs walking around, meeting their new friends and simply being part of family life. Everyone seemed to understand that sharing these spaces comes with a little responsibility.
We especially loved seeing responsible dog owners doing their bit — picking up after their dogs, keeping them under control when needed, giving them space and enjoying lovely walks and conversations with other dog lovers.
It created such a lovely atmosphere. Dogs could meet friends, owners could meet other dog lovers, and everyone could enjoy the space together. 🐾
Dogs Really Are Part of the Holiday 🏖️🐕
One of our favourite things about hu Norcenni Girasole was the feeling that you really could bring your dog along and enjoy so much of the experience together.
From walks and outdoor adventures to the dedicated dog beach, there were plenty of opportunities for dogs to explore, sniff, socialise and simply enjoy being dogs.
We loved watching all the happy dogs having their own adventures — but it also made us appreciate our own Evie even more. ❤️
Sometimes you can have an amazing holiday somewhere incredibly dog-friendly and still find yourself thinking, "I wish Evie was here!"
And that's exactly how we felt. We absolutely loved our time here, but coming home to our own dog was pretty special too. 🐶❤️
Dog Walks Made for Exploring 🌿🐕
There are also walking areas where dogs can enjoy the surroundings and stretch their legs. After travelling, having somewhere safe and enjoyable to explore is especially important.
We loved watching the dogs investigate all the new smells and surroundings. For them, a holiday isn't just about where we stay — it's about all the new experiences along the way.
